What is Scavland?
Scavland is a hardcore top-down pixel-art survival RPG by NoShadow, published with UNSUBSCRIBE and released into Steam Early Access on 4 September 2026 at $19.99. You play a Vulture — a scavenger working the ruins of Zalesye, a post-Soviet region strangled by radiation, mutants and the Mist. NoShadow began the project in 2020 with three people and grew the team to 15 before launch; the shipped build carries ten factions, more than 25 weapons with hundreds of interchangeable components, a hand-built surface world and procedurally generated underground bunkers.
The game explains very little of that, which is what this site is for. Start with all 44 achievements and their Steam unlock rates if you want to see where players are actually getting stuck, or with the systems the game keeps quiet about: weapon condition and jams, trader restrictions and the daily 06:00 restock, the ten factions and how reputation differs from trader rank, and what actually happens when you die.

Get Started in 5 Steps
- Save before anything interesting. There is no autosave — quicksave is the whole safety net. What dying costs you →
- Aim to look, not just to shoot. Raising the weapon extends your vision, and a red X on the crosshair means something solid is in the way. Weapon rules →
- Check your status before you loot the body. Bleeding does not stop when the firefight does. Survival systems →
- Pick one trader to grow. Jobs level the NPC who gave them, and rank unlocks stock nobody else sells. Traders and restock →
- Walk roads that lead nowhere. The map reveals itself through exploration, so an empty backpack can still be progress. Zalesye regions →

FAQ
Is it spelled Scavland, Scav Land, Skavland or Scaveland?
The game is one word: Scavland, by NoShadow. "Scav land", "skavland", "scaveland", "scavaland" and "scanland" are all common misspellings that lead to the same game. Note that "Scablands" is a geological region in Washington State and "Scav Lands" is an extraction area in Escape from Tarkov — neither is related to this game.
Is Scavland a Zero Sievert clone?
NoShadow addressed this directly in a pinned Steam post on launch day: development began in 2020, before Zero Sievert was publicly revealed, and both games draw on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Escape from Tarkov. The structural difference is that Scavland is a persistent open-world RPG rather than a series of separate extraction runs. We break down the full timeline and the feature-by-feature differences on the Scavland vs Zero Sievert page.
Is Scavland multiplayer or co-op?
No. Steam lists Scavland as Single-player only, with no co-op or PvP categories. Co-op has been requested on the Steam hub since launch without an announcement. Every platform and online answer, with its source, is on the platforms page.
About This Site
Scavland Guide is an independent, unofficial fan resource for Scavland players — not affiliated with NoShadow.
- How we verify: Every number on this site is traced to a source you can open yourself: achievement names and unlock rates come from the Steam achievement pages for app 3373500, faction and mechanic details from the developer pinned posts and timestamped guide videos, and player counts from the Steam player API.
- Update cadence: Data pages are re-pulled after each Early Access patch and after every developer post on the Steam hub; the achievement unlock table carries the date it was captured because those percentages move daily.
- What we don't do: We do not publish weapon tier rankings or damage tables while the game ships no public stat sheet, we do not score the game ourselves, and anything only one person has claimed is labelled unverified instead of being written as fact.
