What the number means one day in

NoShadow announced Scavland had passed 100,000 wishlists on 25 August 2026, ten days before release. A concurrent count in the high hundreds on day two, against six figures of wishlists, is what a paid single-player Early Access launch looks like: wishlists convert slowly, and a single-player game has no queue or server population to hold people online.

Concurrency for a game like this is also the wrong health metric to obsess over. The achievement unlock curve tells you far more: 59.2% of owners have searched a ruined building, but only 4.1% have settled into the scavenging loop.

Check the live number yourself

Valve exposes concurrent players publicly, no key and no account required. Open this and read the player_count field:

That is exactly where the figure above comes from — we are not going to paste a chart we cannot source. Historical peaks and daily charts are not published by Valve through this endpoint, so this page shows a dated snapshot rather than an invented trend line.

Why there is no 24-hour or all-time peak here

Because we would have to take them from somewhere else and present them as ours. Until this site has been recording its own daily readings long enough to publish a real series, the honest version of this page is one number with a timestamp on it, refreshed as the site is updated.
